Recommended for rebalancing the physiological levels of essential trace elements in the body, essential for keeping the body healthy. In the case of horses with low levels of red blood cells, supplementation with sources of iron, folic acid, copper and zinc is highly recommended. Unika Red can be proposed in case the horses show a lack of will and readiness in the work. The considerable blend of vitamins and trace elements with specific hematopoietic activity with iron fumarate, copper sulfate, folic acid (B9) and vitamin B12, effectively supports the integrity of the nervous system, metabolism and energy production. Folic acid is a very important B vitamin, also known as folate or vitamin B9. It belongs to the plant world but in its natural chemical form it is not very available to the body (we are talking about 50% of bioavailability). It is very difficult to satisfy the horse's folic acid needs with the foods that make up its ration. Today, given the strong importance of its action in the production of red blood cells, it is recommended to supplement folic acid daily in the nutrition of the athlete horse. Vitamin B12 is involved, together with folic acid, in the synthesis of DNA and RNA and plays an important role in the integrity of the nervous system, metabolism and energy production.
