Cold therapy is one of the most effective methods to relieve the pains and swelling caused by the soft tissue of sport horses. With eArtik cold therapy, we can alleviate the old musculoskeletal lesions and prevent new injuries. Cold therapy can also become a daily treatment for every horse. When a horse works daily at a sustained rate, the capillaries, tendons and ligaments expand, when it stops, the excess fluids can persist, causing swelling and bruising. With cold therapy we can close the blood vessels, and restore the circulatory conditions during post-training.

Ideal for treating: hematomas, sprains, wounds and whenever cold application is required. Also useful on tears, damage to ligaments and tendons.

How to use the eArtik: put the gel bags or the whole package in the freezer for at least 2 hours. When necessary, remove them from the freezer, put them on the pockets of the eArtik boots and apply them on the legs of the horse.
We normally recommend a 20-minute application, but it is advisable to evaluate with your vet the appropriate application time for our horse.
You can also use eArtik gel pads for hot treatment when needed. Put the gel bags in the microwave oven for a maximum of 1 minute at 650W (max). Remove them and apply them where required.

Gel pads are reusable and completely non-toxic.
